Prayer Summit: Thursday PM & Friday AM, May 14, 2020
If My People Prayer Summit (May 14-15, 2020)
As a movement we want to grow in prayer because we know that prayer is key to our renewal and ability to reverse the trend of decline of our churches in Canada. This summit is designed to help you personally, and your church:
“Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” (Ephesians 6:18 NIV)
We have designed this summit to be a teach-and-do experience. We have invited Doug and Margie Newton, to do teaching on the following topics:
a) Why Pray?
b) Prayer as a Way of Life in your Family and Church
c) Big Picture Praying – Praying for our Community
d) The Prayer Movement God is Stirring Up
They will teach us for 20-30 minutes on each topic and then we will pray around our tables in what we are calling “prayershops”. The aim is to help us put into practice what we have learned with “all kinds of prayers” that we will be learning about. At the same time, we will be lifting up prayers to God for His kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven.
This couple are very experienced in prayer and presently give leadership to the National Prayer Ministry of the Free Methodist Church in USA.
The summit begins Thursday night at 7pm and ends at 11am Friday afternoon, just in time for our General Conference. We are praying that pastors, delegates, Prayer Point People and anyone interested will want to be part of this time of growing into being a “house of prayer for all nations”.
