Any Canadian registered charity and a PayPal Business Account can enroll with PayPal Giving Fund Canada. Once you have verified your account belongs to your charity and complete the PayPal GivingFund Canada enrollment form, you can use the PayPal Donate button to accept credit card or PayPal donations. Funds deposited in your PayPal account which you can then transfer to your church bank account. PayPal Giving is a registered charity and will issue receipts to the donors and then ‘grants’ the funds to your charity.
NOTE: Not to be confused with regular Pay Pal, which is not a charity, does not issue receipts and is processed at a higher rate.
PROS: Low charity rate. PayPal looks after issuing receipts. Offers service in French.
CONS: Funds deposited in your PayPal account which you can then transfer to your church bank account. Also, confusion over regular PayPal accounts.
