Denominational Collaboration

On September 10th and 11th, pastors and leaders from three denominations, Free Methodist, Wesleyan and Nazarene, gathered together to talk church health. Marc McAlister, Director of Leadership Development, wanted to provide the new regional coaches with some training. “I learned that some of the Wesleyan and Nazarene leaders were interested in a joint training event.  They don’t have regional coaches, but they were interested in doing church health consultations with their churches.”

Over thirty pastors and leaders met at Wesley Acres for two days of training. “Our coaches thought it was really helpful.”

This type of collaboration might happen again. “We have had to cancel classes or training because we didn’t have enough participants, but when you partner with other denominations it increases participants and reduces costs.”
